Technology stacks / Seventynine Digital

The right technology.
For the work
that matters.

A website, a self-service platform or a connected business system: each needs a different foundation. We start with your users, your existing environment and the work the solution must do.

Understand the tools.
See where they fit.

Languages, platforms and development tools do different jobs. Browse the options below to understand their role before discussing the right combination for your project.

This directory explains technology options. It is not a claim that every tool is used on every Seventynine Digital project, or that we hold vendor certifications or partnerships. We confirm the proposed stack, delivery capability and support arrangements with you before work begins. Technology names belong to their respective owners.

Start with what you need

The project comes first.
The stack follows.

You do not need to arrive with a preferred programming language. Tell us what must work, who will use it and what it needs to connect to.

01 / Websites & publishing

A website your team can manage.

Corporate websites, content-rich platforms and intranets need clear publishing workflows and a practical maintenance plan.

02 / Systems & self-service

A better way to get the work done.

Applications, approvals and self-service journeys need business rules, appropriate access and dependable connections to existing systems.

Options to assess: Java · C# / .NET · Python · Integration APIs
Explore custom development →
03 / Hosting & continuity

An environment built around your requirements.

Hosting choices depend on workload, data location, access, budget and the support responsibilities agreed for the service.

How we approach technology choices

A good fit today.
A workable plan
for tomorrow.

The most useful recommendation is one your organisation can operate and support. We discuss the trade-offs before settling on a direction.

  1. 01

    Understand the environment.

Review the current systems, users, content, data and operational constraints. An existing platform may be worth improving.

  2. 02

    Test the important assumptions.

Identify integration, performance and migration questions early. Agree where a technical assessment or prototype is needed.

  3. 03

    Compare the full cost.

Consider development, licensing, hosting, third-party usage and ongoing support, rather than the initial build alone.

  4. 04

    Define responsibilities.

Agree access controls, deployment, backups, monitoring and handover. Record who maintains each part of the solution.

Questions before you start

Let’s make the
choices clearer.

Do we need to choose a technology before contacting you?

No. Start with your requirements, existing systems and constraints. We can discuss the options and explain the reasons behind a proposed stack.

Can you work with our existing website or system?

We can discuss an assessment of your current environment. Access, documentation, dependencies and the condition of the code will inform whether to maintain, improve, migrate or rebuild it.

Does every project use the technologies listed here?

No. This page explains a range of technology options. The project proposal should identify the technologies selected, the team delivering them and the support arrangements.

Can our organisation specify hosting or data-location requirements?

Yes. Share these requirements at the start, including any prescribed hosting environment, data location, identity platform or infrastructure policies. They form part of the technical assessment.

How are AI-assisted development tools handled?

Tools such as Windsurf are distinct from the technology running the finished system. Their use, access to code and data, and any client restrictions should be agreed before they are introduced. Code still needs review and testing.

Will we receive source code and documentation?

The agreement should set out ownership, licence terms, repository access and the handover deliverables. Raise your requirements during scoping so they can be included explicitly.

Discuss your next step

Bring the challenge.
We’ll talk through the options.

Tell us what you are building or improving, what you already use and any requirements your organisation needs us to work within.
